Building digital resilience in the nonprofit sector: a report

The Challenge

The Covid-19 pandemic catalysed a shift in the way UK charities responded to digital. The funding and support landscape also changed to accommodate the rapid digital transition. Once the initial uncertainty had shifted and lockdowns came to an end, many organisations needed to reflect on the new role of digital. Our client, the Catalyst Network was one such organisation, and our role was to provide them with information on the sector’s changing digital needs after the end of the pandemic.

Our approach

  • We conducted desk-based research into the nonprofit sector’s digital needs and demand, funding, emerging technologies and barriers to access across the four regions.

  • We reviewed primary data into the current capacity and support available to nonprofits from sector organisations, as well as to inform a report on future recommendations for the organisation’s strategic approach.

  • We conducted interviews with key stakeholders and presented our data for feedback and review.

The result

Our report was used to inform the strategic direction of the network and integrated into their organisations approach.
