The origin story

Like all good things, Anthro{nation} started life as an idea. I was lying in the sun reading Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead, and David Graeber’s, Bullshit Jobs, and I decided to go solo and work on impactful projects that aligned with my values.

Why Anthro{nation}? Well, Applied Anthropology is a relatively new field, but anthropologists have been using their skills to tackle real-life problems for decades. In my own work, I found myself using my training as an anthropologist to create a greater impact for the organisations I was working in. Anthro{nation} became the space where this comes together from the start. A means to instrumentalise anthropological insights for impact and the unification of anthropology and innovation.

As an Anthropologist, my training informs the way that I support you. I have extensive experience in marketing, qualitative research, and behaviour change, and I will help you meet your objectives.

As for the boring stuff, I have a BA in History from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and an MSc in Social Anthropology from Wolfson College, at the University of Oxford.

Hello from Anthro{nation}

I'm Sadaf, Founder, and Head Anthropologist

Like all good things, Anthro{nation} started life as an idea. I was lying in the sun reading Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead, and David Graeber’s, Bullshit Jobs. As you do. At that moment, it occurred to me…work can be whatever I want it to be. I decided to go solo and work on impactful projects that aligned with my values.

Why Anthro{nation}? Well, Applied Anthropology is a relatively new field, but anthropologists have been using their skills to tackle real-life problems for decades. For me, Anthro{nation} is a space where that can come together, the unification of anthropology and innovation.
